Lone Star Award

The Lone Star Award is given to local chapters exhibiting outstanding service to membership and to the promotion of play therapy and the credentialing of Registered Play Therapists. 

The 2025 award will be given to chapters at the Annual TxAPT conference that meet the following criteria:

  • Chapter leadership roles of Chapter Chair, Finance Representative, and Social Media Representative filled
  • Chapter representatives attended committee meetings
  • Chapter event held (CE or Networking)
  • Contributed to TxAPT newsletter/social media

Winners of the Lone Star Award will be:

  • Recognized at the TxAPT conference
  • Featured in the TxAPT Newsletter
  • Able to use the Lone Star Award Logo on their websites for the year they have won (April- April)
  • Given a Free TxAPT conference registration to raffle off at their Local Chapter
