Scott Riviere

Since graduating 1990, Scott Riviere has worked exclusively with children, adolescents and their families. He has worked in outpatient counseling centers, in-home family preservation programs, inpatient hospitals, and founded Louisiana's first Play Therapy Institute called K.I.D.Z., Inc. where his practice is limited exclusively to children, adolescents, and families.   Scott was Louisiana's first male Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and is also approved to supervise interns seeking to obtain their state counseling license.  

He has served on various committees for the national and state Associations for Play Therapy.   Scott is a published author in the books Adolescent Play Therapy , and Short Term Play Therapy with Children, Second Edition .    He has also founded Healing Kidz, a non-profit organization committed to the healthy development of children.   Scott has published a variety of products including "Through Your Child's Eyes" , "Positive Parenting" , " A KIDZ Toy Box", "Too Cool To Play" and "Office Management Business Forms" .   Scott has been recognized as an international speaker and is a sought out presenter at national and state conferences.   He is available to do training and supervision nationwide.

Sue C. Bratton, Ph.D

 

Sue BrattonSue Bratton, Ph.D., LPC, RPT-S is Director of the Center for Play Therapy and Associate Professor at The University of North Texas.  She is a Past President of the Association for Play Therapy and served on the APT Board of Directors for six years. Dr. Bratton is a respected lecturer, author, researcher, and clinician with extensive experience in individual and group play therapy, as well as in filial/family play therapy.  She is known nationally and internationally for her training workshops and presentations and has presented extensively throughout the United States and in South Africa, Australia, England, Ireland, and Canada.  Dr. Bratton has also served as a consultant to school districts throughout the United States and guest lectured at universities.  She is active in the professional community, both at the state and national committee level and has published at the state and national level on a variety of topics related to play therapy, filial/family play therapy, activity therapy, expressive arts, and play therapy research. She is probably best known for her meta-analysis of play therapy outcome research. Dr. Bratton is also co-author of The World of Play Therapy Literature and is co-author of a textbook, Child-Parent-Relationship Therapy (CPRT): A 10-Session Filial Therapy Model, and the accompanying CPRT Treatment Manual and CD-Rom.
